Intake Quarantine Testing Detects Positive Cases at Three Facilities

Waterbury, VT – The Vermont Department of Corrections detected three new incarcerated cases of COVID-19 during intake quarantine at three different facilities: Chittenden Regional Correctional Facility (CRCF) in South Burlington, Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility (MVRCF) in Rutland, and Northwest State Correctional Facility (NWSCF) in St. Albans.

As of Saturday morning, eight incarcerated individuals are considered positive across four Vermont facilities, all of which were identified in intake quarantine.

Statewide, 56 positive staff cases currently exist across six correctional facilities, six field offices, and Central Office.
