Vermont Department of Corrections Research & Data Unit

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides data analysis, reporting, and research expertise

  • Uses data and research to inform DOC decision-making, aid in strategic vision of Department, evaluate program efficacy, and promote transparency in external reporting

  • Represents DOC in research/data related committees/communications

  • Participates in DOC-involved research projects, including disseminating results through publications and presentations


Population Data

Population Data includes Daily Incarcerated Population Reports, Incarcerated Population Characteristics, and Community Supervision Population Reports.
 

Special Topics

Special Topics reports include descriptive measures (Gender, Race, Violent Crime) and experiences while incarcerated (Segregation).

 

Health Services

Health Services includes reports for Serious Functional Impairment (SFI)-Designation and Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) incarcerated populations.

 

Release Reports

Release Reports include Releases from Incarceration and Minimum Release Report.

 

Annual Reports

Annual Reports include Recidivism and Budget Performance Measures.

 

Staff Data

Staff Data include staffing related reports and dashboards.

 

Research
