Establishing Statute
The board was established for the purpose of advising the Head of School of the independent school established in 28 VSA Ch 3 § 120. The board shall have supervision over policy formation for the independent school, except as otherwise provided, shall recommend school policy to the Commissioner of Corrections, shall oversee local advisory boards of the school, and shall perform such other duties as requested from time to time by the Commissioner of Corrections or the Head of School.
