Maria started her employment at BUPP as a Program Services Clerk, was promoted to a CCO and has been a Probation and Parole Officer for the past four years. Her past three performance evaluations have all been "outstanding". As specified in such a rating, Maria's overall performance significantly and consistently surpasses all performance standards established for her position. She is a member of the Academy Corrections Board and this past year assisted in the development of a "street drugs" lesson plan curriculum for that training school.
One of Maria's strongest qualities is her positive attitude and willingness to assist and improve the office in any way she is able. She is a role model who regularly brings new ideas and perspectives to the table.
She sets a high personal standard for herself while being receptive to feedback and self reflecting on where she can make individual improvements. Her peers regard her as a team player who is supportive, helpful and respectful of others opinions. She has been described as a person with integrity, great spirit and motivation while having a sense of humor, which effects the entire office in a positive manner. If she sees a problem she approaches it with a solution and a "can do" attitude. She truly is able to look at the big picture and she finds pleasure in having her peers succeed in the workplace.
