Being a part of the CRCF Intellegence Team means gathering information on residents to insure the safe and orderly operation of the facility. This includes discovery of attempts to bring in contraband, plans for assaults on other inmates requiring separation issues, abuse of children/victims/ domestic partners or others, security breaches, plans for self harm, plans for escapes, plans to committ new crimes or request others in the community to committ a crime (ie: bringing in drugs) to mention a few. This team has taken this initiative on their own without being given any additional resources to begin or continue this work. Their investiment in this is so strong and self motivated that they have often listen to tapes on their way home from work to gather this informaiton on their own time. As a result of their consistent and hard work we have been able to intervene and interrupt many attempts to bring in contraband of all types. Have discovered cases of abuse and reported these to the proper authorities, have been able to keep inmates safe from assaults or self harm, address security breaches that were not previously recognized and have law enforcement involved with visitors attempting to bring in drugs in to the facil
